Neck Pain

Feeling discomfort in your neck? It could be due to conditions like spondylolisthesis, degenerative spine changes, or kyphosis.

Grinding Sensation

Experiencing a grinding sensation in your neck? It may be linked to spondylolisthesis, instability, or degenerative spine changes.

Stiffness

Neck stiffness may occur with spondylolisthesis, kyphosis, or adult deformity. It can also be a response to muscle spasms triggered by herniated/slipped discs, stenosis, or occipital neuralgia.

Muscle Spasming

Muscle spasms in the neck can result from injury or as a protective response to pain associated with herniated/slipped discs, stenosis, or occipital neuralgia.

Headache

Experiencing discomfort at the back of your head? It could be attributed to various factors such as occipital neuralgia, Chiari malformation, tension stemming from cervical spine alterations, kyphosis, spine deformities, or even spine instability.

Vision or Hearing Changes

Alterations in vision or hearing might signal underlying conditions like brain tumors, hydrocephalus, or pituitary tumors. These changes warrant prompt attention for accurate diagnosis and appropriate management.

Balance Issues

Struggling with balance? Several conditions such as cervical stenosis, hydrocephalus, brain tumors, subdural hematoma, or kyphosis/adult spinal deformity could be at play. Identifying the root cause is crucial for devising effective treatment strategies.

Facial Pain

Facial pain, particularly characteristic of trigeminal neuralgia, demands evaluation and management to alleviate discomfort and improve quality of life.

Memory or Speech Changes

Changes in memory or speech patterns may indicate underlying conditions such as hydrocephalus, brain tumors, or metastatic tumors. Timely intervention is essential to address these changes and maintain cognitive function.

Shoulder

Muscle spasms in the shoulder could result from injury or as a protective measure against pain from conditions like herniated/slipped discs, stenosis, or occipital neuralgia.

Burning/Pain

Burning or pain in the shoulder may stem from nerve compression due to a slipped or herniated disc, spondylolisthesis, or stenosis.

Tingling/Numbness

Tingling or numbness in the shoulder could indicate nerve compression from a slipped or herniated disc, spondylolisthesis, or stenosis.

Weakness

Weakness in the shoulder may be linked to stenosis (even without pain), or less commonly, with conditions like subdural hematoma, brain tumor, hydrocephalus, kyphosis, or adult spinal deformity.

Mid Back

Midback pain may originate from a slipped or herniated disc in the neck or midback, spondylolisthesis, kyphosis, or spinal deformity.

Burning or Numbness along the Ribs

Burning or numbness along the ribs could result from nerve compression due to a slipped or herniated disc, stenosis, kyphosis, or spinal deformity.

Visible Hump or Curve

A visible hump or curve in the spine could indicate kyphosis or spinal deformity/scoliosis.

Arms

Burning or pain in the arms can result from nerve compression due to a slipped or herniated disc, spondylolisthesis, or stenosis.

Tingling/Numbness

Tingling or numbness in the arms may occur due to nerve compression from a slipped or herniated disc, spondylolisthesis, or stenosis.

Weakness

Weakness in the arms may be associated with stenosis (even without pain), and occasionally with conditions like subdural hematoma, brain tumor, hydrocephalus, kyphosis, or adult spinal deformity.

Low Back

Pain in the lower back can be attributed to conditions like spondylolisthesis, degenerative spine changes, scoliosis, or deformity.

Grinding

A grinding sensation in the lower back may occur with spondylolisthesis, instability, or degenerative spine changes.

Stiffness

Back stiffness may accompany spondylolisthesis, adult deformity, or muscle spasms triggered by herniated/slipped discs, stenosis, or sciatica.

Muscle Spasming

Muscle spasms in the lower back could result from muscle injury or as a protective mechanism against pain from herniated/slipped discs, stenosis, or sciatica.

My

Story

I was  a very active young boy growing up in the Texas Hill country area and by the time that I was in grade school I had suffered 3 concussions.

The trauma that I suffered to my head had caused issues with my neck and I began having horrible migraine headaches.  My parents took me to the standard medical doctor for help and the treatment given was pain relieving meds. As a young boy, taking medication every time I had a migraine, did not really make sense to me .  Deep down inside of me I wanted to be rid of the headaches and did not want to keep taking meds every time I had a migraine.

A good family friend one day suggested to my mom that she should take me to see her Chiropractic Doctor for evaluation.  This appointment was the beginning of my health journey.  I was put on a treatment plan after the chiropractic doctor explained to me and my mother what was causing my headaches. He explained that my previous concussions had injured my upper neck where it attaches to my head and this area was causing my migraines. I began treatment and soon started feeling much better. It literally changed my life and my mother tells me that I would say that I wanted to become a chiropractic doctor and help others just like I was helped. There is no better feeling than to help others regain their health.
